The parchement is dirty, wrinkled, and torn in places. Holes in the parchment throughout, some of them with contemporary repairs, e.g. on f. 99. Cuts or tears in the parchment in some places, e.g. in the outer margin on f. 42. Leaves damaged by damp or spills here and there, especially on ff. 109–118, where it partially affects the legibility of the text.Layout

Main text in dark brown ink, capitals touched in red, rubrics in red and with red strike-through.
(f. 1ra), opening foliate initial Q over 6 lines. Letter in shades of green on gold and framed in pink. Counterspace filled with red and gold. The letter extends into the margins in a vegetative shape with leaves in green, yellow, blue, pink, and gold. (f. 59va), decorated initial F over 5 lines. The initial is similar to the opening initial, but smaller and without gold, except for in the counterspace. The body is painted in grey and purple, counterspace filled with red and gold, and the leaf shapes in green, blue, and yellow. (ff. 2ra–118va), plain initials over 2-3 lines in red.

Medieval binding. Red leather over wooden boards. Spine painted grey. 4 double raised bands and endbands. Spine, in black ink or paint: ‘Nicol. de Lyra.’; in lead: M8?; stamped in gold: ‘A 157’; in red paint on a dark grey background: ‘A’.
