The text is followed by a short text titled V‘alde pulcrum exemplum de fratre quodam’, which is concluded at the bottom of f. 159v and linked to f. 158v with a signe-de-renvoi. The text begins and ends: ‘Retulit nobis nuper abbas quidam ordinis nostri de quodam monacho [...] compassio sepe miraculorum gloria remunerantur’.

Occasional additions in the margins by different medieval hands. Some of the text have no additions, while others contain quite a few corrections or additions, e..g on (f. 6r) or (f. 37v). Sometimes the additions are by the scribe, e.g. on (f. 108v). In addition, there are several addition made in the texts or in direct connection to the texts. These are reported under Contents.
There are also additions in pencil by a modern hand, which identifies text passages with references to Migne ((f. 13v, 22r–30v, 74r–83r, 118v–149r)).

A small parchment fragment or note containing unidentified text. Seemingly used as a bookmark between (f. 84) and (f. 85).

A loose paper leaf containing 13 lines of text on the recto and blank on the verso. The text, written in a semitextualis, begins: ‘Incipit preparatoria misse pro nouellis sacerdotibus feliciter’.

The many different texts contained in this manuscrip vary in stile, but the majority are written in brown ink, have rubriscs in red, and capitals touched in red.
Most of the texs are provided with plain initials in red, ranging over 2-3 lines, but other styles also occur, e.g. the cadel intials on (ff. 99r–99v).

Germany, Erfurt, 15th century, second half. The manuscript carries contemporary owner's signatures and what may be shelfmark from the monastery of St Peter and Paul in Erfurt (LCI, f. L1r; ‘P47’ on LCI and f. 1r). In addition, on f. L1r a pesonal name is listed as a potential owner: ‘hermannus markreffe’. The text on ff. 22r–37v has been provided with a colophon that states that that particular text was written in 1460 by a ‘confrater Wernherus’ for ‘dominus Guntherus, alumnus claustri erforrdensis’.
Provenance
The manuscript appears to have been kept at the monastery until the secularisation. It is listed in the monastery’s library catalogue of 1783, see Theele (1920), p. 72. The manuscript was bought by Friedrich Gottlieb Julius von Bülow zu Beyernaumburg (1760-1831) around 1803 after the secularization of the monastery. In 1836 the manuscript was then purchased from th von Bülow estate by George Stephens.
