Main text in black ink, rubrics in red.
(f. 2r): Opening dentelle initial I over circa 12 lines. Outlined in ink, gold in centre, contoured in purple and blue. The gold has almost completely fallen off or been removed. Some of the blue colour has faded or been water damaged. A complex vegetative shape extends from the initial into the upper and inner margin. This shape is drawn in ink with details in gold, blue, and red.
(f. 19r): dentelle initial U over 2 lines. Similar to the opening initital.
(f. 19v): unfinished initial I over circa 15 lines. Outlined in ink, no colouring.
(ff. 4v–5r): plain initial over 4 lines in red with flourishing in blue.
(ff. 2r–18r): Plain initials in red over 2-3 lines (+ extending above and below the line).
Binding
19th century binding in brown leather with blind stamped decoration. Current binding was made in 1850. LCO, gold letters on red background:‘ JOH. DE TURRE CREMATA, DECLARATIONES SUPER NONNULLIS ARTICULIS DE LIBRIS REVELATIONUM Stae BIRGITTAE’. Spine, stamped in gold, series of three crowns and: ‘A 24b’. A note on f. SL1r states that the text was previously bound in red leather and had an oblong seal attached to a red cord.
